At the world's largest aviation trade fair, the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, Hamburg once again demonstrated its strong position in civil aviation. Together with companies and research institutions from the aviation cluster, Hamburg Aviation presented itself at the heart of the German joint stand. Hamburg's First Mayor Dr Peter Tschentscher also used his visit to the trade fair to gain a personal impression of the innovative strength of the location.
"Hamburg Aviation is very present here; we are the world's third-largest civil aviation centre in Hamburg. You have to have a presence here at the Paris Air Show," emphasised the Mayor. "The companies are very active, presenting themselves and their technologies. Even as a layman, you can recognise the innovative power and strength that the aviation location represents - and that's why I'm very impressed."
Hamburg Aviation's presence offered several exhibitors from the north a stage to present their expertise to an international audience of experts. Hamburg's aviation cluster is very dynamic,’ continued Tschentscher. "We have just published new figures: almost 20 per cent growth in employment since 2019. So this is a strong employment factor, a strong economic factor - and there is an incredible amount of impetus for innovation and development for the industry as a whole."
For Hamburg Aviation, the Paris Air Show is an important platform for positioning the strengths of the location - from industrial manufacturing and digital services to sustainable aviation research.
