The company's portfolio covers the entire service spectrum for commercial, VIP and special mission aircraft. This includes the maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification of entire aircraft as well as their engines, components and landing gear, the manufacture of innovative cabin products and digital fleet support. The German Armed Forces and other armed forces also rely on Lufthansa Technik's technical expertise and support.
Today, several dozen subsidiaries in Europe, America and Asia belong to the global network of the Lufthansa Technik Group. In addition, the company operates smaller maintenance centres around the globe and supports its customers in daily flight operations on site.
With over 9,000 employees, Hamburg is the Group's headquarters, competence centre and control centre. Among other things, engines, landing gear and components are repaired and overhauled in the Hamburg workshops. The Original Equipment and Special Aircraft Services division provides large and largest private and government aircraft with their individual interiors and customised onboard products. Hamburg is also an important research and development centre for Lufthansa Technik. For example, modern repair procedures and new high-tech products for private and commercial aircraft are developed here.
