Qualify Before Flight

DAUtec GmbH is an aviation services company specialising in type testing and qualification of aviation equipment. Our dynamic team is composed of highly qualified specialists from the aviation industry. We operate the environmental laboratory of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) at its Hamburg base. This laboratory specialises in tests in accordance with commercial and military aviation standards. We also operate our own laboratory at Lübeck Airport, offering customer-specific and service life testing.
Thanks to experience of more than 2 decades in the aviation sector, we offer our customers tailor-made approaches and solutions.

Qualification

We have the knowledge and experience to support you from the first development step through to production and approval. We develop tailored test plans according to your need and support you in coordinating and implementing complete test programmes.
From preparing all documentation - including Qualification Plans, Qualification Test Procedures, Test Reports, and Design Analyses - to coordinating and supervising all required laboratory tests, we provide everything trough one accountable partner from start to finish. Your partner will be available to you throughout the entire qualification process to supervise, plan and coordinate the qualification of your test projects.
Furthermore, through our active participation in RTCA and EUROCAE working groups, we help shape the test standards of tomorrow and ensure that our practices are aligned with the latest regulatory standards and OEM expectations.

Witnessing

The tests are supervised and monitored on site by one of our Airworthiness Qualification Engineers. The conformity of the test procedure and the functionality of the test unit before, during and after the tests are verified by appropriate documentation with an authorised signature. Test witnessing by the end customer is possible at any time and can be coordinated and supervised by our team.

Remote Witnessing

In addition to our standard service portfolio, we offer our customers remote witnessing via remote connection. Test setups and test runs can be viewed live from any remote location.

Environmental Simulation Laboratory

DAUtec offers testing in accordance with industry-specific specifications or individual customer requirements in the fields of environmental simulation and electromagnetic compatibility.
Our specialised laboratories have all the necessary equipment to carry out tests in compliance with recognised standards and specifications — for example, for on-board equipment in accordance with RTCA/DO-160 and/or MIL-STD-810. Characteristic tests include temperature and humidity, shock and vibration, emissions, RF susceptibility, power input and electrostatic discharge, which we can carry out at the Lufthansa Basis site. At our Lübeck facility, additional tests such as fluid susceptibility, constant acceleration using a centrifuge, waterproofness, ball impact, static abuse load and endurance tests are possible. In addition, we also offer mechanical stress testing of components in the HASS/HALT test chamber. For tests not covered by our in-house facilities - such as fungus resistance, flammability, or altitude - we rely on our network of partner laboratories, allowing us to provide complete qualification campaigns in accordance with the specifications.

Technical documentation

We create technical documents for qualification and sample testing, such as Qualification Test Procedures, Qualification Test Reports, Qualification Procedures, Qualification Reports and Declarations of Design and Performance. Upon request, we can also provide other aviation-specific documents and industry-specific documentation for the automotive and defence industries.
