Hamburg Aviation WoMen is more than just a working group - it is a network, a platform and a driver for diversity in aviation. Since its launch in 2013, the group has developed into a central component of the Hamburg Aviation cluster.
Our mission: Together, we stand for equal opportunities and diversity in aviation. We use our network to strengthen expertise and promote visibility and acceptance - both internally and externally.
We are Hamburg Aviation WoMen. We want to inspire more women for aviation, support them in their professional development and make the advantages of diversity visible - for companies, the industry and society.
Our goals
- Promoting women: Attracting and supporting more young female talent and managers in aviation
- Create networks: Facilitate exchange between generations, professions and companies
- Smooth career paths: Offer mentoring and further training programmes to actively support women on their career paths
- Raise awareness: Inspiring young women and schoolgirls for technical professions and the aviation industry
Our offers
Mentoring programmes
We offer targeted support for female students, young professionals and career changers. By connecting with experienced mentors from the industry, our participants receive valuable insights, guidance and direct support.
Events and networks
Round trips: Twice a year, we organise large network meetings with keynote speeches and interactive workshops. Here, women and men work together to develop new ideas and measures for more diversity in aviation.
Short flights: Every two months, we organise informal networking events at different locations - from company visits to gliding meetings. Ideal for getting to know each other and making new contacts.
Peer counselling: A structured method in which specialists support each other in a group with professional challenges. Through the targeted exchange of perspectives and experiences, they develop practical solutions together.
