At the end of August 2025, ProTechnicale bid farewell to the 14th proTechnicale Classic class at the ZAL Centre of Applied Aeronautical Research. Cheerful, festive and also a little wistful - because from now on, the participants are going their own ways. They are starting their degree programmes in physics, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or industrial engineering.
The ProTechnicale team was particularly pleased about the first visit from Senator Dr Melanie Leonhard (Ministry of Economics, Labour and Innovation BWAI of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg), whose speech was very inspiring and motivating. The BWAI has not only been a reliable and loyal funding partner of ProTechnicale for many years. The team was also grateful for the long-standing support of ZAL GmbH, which was represented by Lukas Kaestner and Ángela Álvarez García. Both gave impressive and sometimes very personal words to the graduates.
A highlight: the speeches by alumnae Mailin Ley and Julia Franke, who gave the new graduates courage and perspective. The musical act by Anny Ogrezeanu, known for her victory on The Voice of Germany 2022, also gave us goosebumps. It was an event full of energy, emotion and community.
At the end of July 2025, ProTechnicale bid farewell to the 7th proTechnicale School class in the digital space - personally, warmly and highly emotionally. In the spirit of Marie Curie: "You never realise what has already been done, you only see what remains to be done." It was therefore important to pause for a moment and look back on the last five months. The graduates of the School have experienced what it means to be visible as a young woman in the world of technology and science. They have been shown numerous opportunities and perspectives. And they have shown that the people - and the friendships, the network, the cohesion - are formative for their path. ProTechnicale is not a one-off station, but a place to which you can return at any time as an alumna and role model. We were once again accompanied musically by the wonderful musician Phil Siemers, who provided an atmospheric finale.
The entire proTechnicale team (Friederike Fechner, Liana A., Marianne Kraus and Wiebke Pomplun) would like to thank everyone who makes proTechnicale Classic and proTechnicale School possible - through their idealistic, financial and energetic support. Special thanks go to the DATEV-Stiftung Zukunft, Hamburger Hochbahn AG and Dr Friedrich Jungheinrich-Stiftung.
