Start of application for the 2024/25 mentoring programme

Are you part of the Hamburg Aviation Young Professionals network? Would you also like to exchange ideas with experienced aviation experts on development opportunities or other topics that concern you? Then apply now as a mentee for the Hamburg Aviation Young Professionals mentoring programme!  

For the 5th season of the mentoring programme this year, we have been able to attract 16 top-class mentors from the aviation industry who are already eager to enter into an exchange with the young professionals. For a first impression, you will find short profiles of the mentors in the appendix.

Where are we flying to together? And for how long?

The mentoring relationship is based on the voluntary nature and commitment of the participants. The personal relationship between the two people in the mentoring tandems takes centre stage. The scope (including the frequency of meetings) and focus of the mentoring relationship are agreed individually by the participants. The programme lasts approximately 12 months.

How is the flight accompanied?

As part of the mentoring programme, Hamburg Aviation offers a meeting of all mentees and mentors every six months, in addition to an introductory meeting and a final event, in order to share their experiences and establish contacts with the other mentoring tandems. The Hamburg Aviation team is also on hand to support the tandem in the event of any difficulties.

The selection process will be as follows:

We will collect all applicants interested in the programme by 21 February 2024.

At the matching event on 12 March 2024 (15:00 - 18:00) in Hamburg (location tbd), potential mentees will have the opportunity to talk to 3-4 potential mentors for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, an evaluation will be given by both sides. The mentors and mentees who have the highest score will form a tandem and will be allowed to work together.
