Join the Hamburg Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society on 19 June 2026 in the Hotel Grand Elysée at 6pm to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its founding and the 12th Annual Gerhard Sedlmayr Lecture. Guests from RAeS London, RAeS Branches and other organisations are invited.
An extract from RAeS Hamburg Annual Report for 2006:
"The official inauguration of the Branch took place on 19th October 2005 at Her Majesty’s Consulate General at Hamburg at the presence of the Her Majesty’s Consul-General, Timothy Collard as well as the President of the RAeS, Sir Colin Terry. The Chairman of the Society’s External Affairs Board, David Marshall, and the chairman of the Society’s Munich Branch, Brian Drewitt were also present as well as the Council members Iain Gray and Bob Lange, and Scott Phillips, the External Affairs manager."
The Sedlmayr Lecture is devoted to aviation safety issues and this year is no exception!
The lecture will be given by Prof Graham Braithwaite FRAeS, Director of Aerospace and Aviation and Professor of Safety and Accident Investigation, Cranfield University
