The changing security landscape in Europe is raising new questions for our region’s traditionally civil aviation industry. What role can established expertise in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, supply chains, engineering, digitalisation, research and infrastructure play in future security-related applications? Where will new requirements emerge in areas such as supply chains, technologies, certification, skilled labour and collaboration? And how can Hamburg, as one of the world's leading civil aviation hubs, responsibly contribute its strengths to this evolving landscape?

the upcoming Hamburg Aviation Forum will focus on a topic that is becoming increasingly important for the Hamburg aviation cluster: the intersection of civil aviation expertise, security-related requirements and new industrial opportunities.

The discussion will cover topics including defence, dual-use technologies, industrial resilience, technological sovereignty, MRO, manufacturing, research, infrastructure, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
