We warmly invite you to the 20th German Aerospace Regions Day, which will take place this year as a special anniversary event on 22 September at the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC).
Under the theme “Experience | Transformation | Future”, we are bringing together more than 350 leading representatives from industry, politics, academia, research and the media. Together, they will discuss the current challenges and opportunities facing our key sector, which stands for innovative strength, technological excellence and international competitiveness. In particular, the supplier industry – dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, our ‘hidden champions’ – forms the backbone of this strength.
The event is held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The Lower Saxony Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport and Construction, the Regional Forum of the BDLI e.V. and Niedersachsen Aviation – the state initiative supporting the aerospace industry in Lower Saxony – look forward to welcoming you to Hanover on 22 September and, together, setting the course for the future of our industry.
An exciting conference programme awaits you, featuring keynote speeches by Parliamentary State Secretary Gitta Connemann of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), State Secretary Nils Hilmer of the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg), and Grant Hendrik Tonne, Minister for Economic Affairs of Lower Saxony. This high-profile opening will be complemented by a video message from Federal Minister Dorothee Bär of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Research (BMFTR).
The programme will focus on:
- aviation as a resilient driver of growth,
- autonomous IT structures for the aviation of tomorrow,
- the new era in the aerospace sector, with new demands on industry, safety and operational capability,
- and Germany’s competitiveness as an aerospace hub in the global marketplace.
The day’s programme will be rounded off by an evening reception hosted by the State of Lower Saxony, which will be opened by Lower Saxony’s Minister-President, Olaf Lies.
In addition, we are offering you the opportunity to visit various research institutions and companies in and around Hanover during the morning prior to the conference.
