Since 2001, the Hanseatic Engineering & Consulting Association, or HECAS for short, has been one of the most important drivers of North German aviation activities. The association, which consists of leading service providers in the field of aerospace engineering, actively contributes to the success story in this industrial area.
HECAS is representing the interests of well over 5500 highly qualified aerospace specialists from 15 member companies and ensures through the lobbying activities in politics and business not only the existence of safe jobs, but rather for their expansion in technologically highly interesting areas. The association is involved for example in various training and other education measures, which are realized together with the Employment Agency, the Department of Economic Affairs and Labor, the Chamber of Commerce and, in particular, the Hamburg universities.
The association of leading engineering companies collects concentrated Know-How in order to implement through the member companies customer-specific wishes throughout the entire aircraft industry in an innovative, integrative and timely manner. HECAS shows extremely high flexibility due to its slim and transparent structures.
The internal work of the association is organized through monthly meetings to serves the exchange of expertise, experience, technical and logistical information.
The HECAS e. V. is a founding member of Hamburg Aviation.
