The HTK Hamburg GmbH was founded in 1978. Since then, the family-owned company has been designing, installing and installing systems for a wide range of applications and requirements for gas technology.

The product range includes for example Flow meters for compressed air and other gases, mobile and stationary analyzers or gas measuring and control systems. In addition, HTK manufactures SCENTY® gas detection systems that reliably protect against the invisible risks of hazardous gas concentrations. This gas warning system SCENTY® was also used in the EDEN ISS container of the DLR.

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) plans to grow vegetables in space. As part of the project, plants are grown in a container without natural light and without soil - conditions that exist in space. To monitor the carbon dioxide and oxygen content, the SCENTY® gas detection system from HTK Hamburg GmbH is used. Four reliable gas sensors ensure optimum safety for the crew. The test phase in the Antarctic is currently running.
