Energy Systems of the Future
Within just eighteen months, the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster has established itself as the key regional sector network for the Hamburg city region. The cluster was founded in January 2011 by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and association for the development of the Renewable Energy Cluster in Hamburg. Both hold 51 and 49 percent ownership respectively of the Erneuerbare Energien Hamburg Clusteragentur GmbH company. The managing director is Jan Rispens. In this way, specialist knowledge from the industry can be optimally pooled through networking by the development association with a current membership of over 190 companies and institutions and through the operative work by the agency.
Internationally, the cluster also networks in other ways, for example by travelling as delegates with economics senator Frank Horch to South Korea, Japan and China. Since 2016, the cluster Renewable Energy Hamburg has been working as partner in the EU projects Green Power Electronics and Northern Connections.
