Topic focus: Ready for Takeoff? Approval and certification of drones
With two inspiring 15-minute impulses, the event will shed light on the current status of the approval of drone operations and the certification of the vehicle and other system components, such as IT security. The focus will be on the perspectives of a certifier and an operator or developer, as well as the differentiation from manned aviation and future developments.
The speakers:
🔐 Jaques Kruse Brandao, Global Head of Advocacy at TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH - He brings more than 20 years of experience in the fields of cybersecurity, data protection and artificial intelligence with a focus on regulatory frameworks in networked systems. His knowledge of certification processes in the digital world brings a new perspective to the security requirements for drone systems.
👨✈️ Andreas Gherman, freelance aviation expert - The aerospace engineer can look back on more than 33 years of professional experience in aviation. His areas of responsibility at the Lufthansa Group included operations, maintenance and certification. Since 2021, he has been supporting Beagle Systems in the areas of “Airworthiness & Permits”. With his experience, he will give us valuable insights into the approval of drone operations and development compared to manned aviation.
Afterwards, there will be plenty of time for questions, discussions and, of course, a good cup of coffee and delicious baked goods.
