As Hamburg's core industry and high-tech sector, aviation is called upon more than ever to position itself for the future. Above all, sustainable developments are required, to which the small and medium-sized supplier companies located at the site with their specialised workers, known as "blue collar", make a significant contribution. In addition, there is the digital structural change and an accompanying, ever faster technological development of the industry. In the future, "Qblue", a Hamburg based network for advanced training, will bundle demand-oriented continuing education formats for the future topics in aviation in the Metropolitan region and develop qualification offers along individual learning paths for industrial-technical employees.

The "Qblue" project is being funded for three years by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and supported financially by the Hamburg Ministry of Economics and Innovation.
