jetlite, headquartered at Hamburg’s renowned ZAL TechCenter, is announcing the launch of several innovative hardware solutions at Aircraft Interiors Expo this year - all of which are being developed in cooperation with leading industry partners, and will present a significant improvement to the passenger experience on board.

The jetlite innovations that are based on the principles of Human Centric Lighting will enable operators to bring passenger well-being to new heights. Taking a step beyond mood lighting, jetlite’s solutions also mitigate the effects of jet lag for all booking classes.

Overview of the jetlite innovations and activities at the upcoming Aircraft Interiors Expo:

1) jetlite controller – Silver Atena Stand (Hall B1 1A58)

jetlite and Silver Atena are developing the world’s first controller to fully automate the cabin lighting, based on jetlite’s Human Centric Lighting that enhances passenger well-being and reduces the effects of jet lag. Resting on a scientific algorithm, the jetlite controller uses specific flight parameters, such as route, direction and time zones crossed to calculate the optimal cabin lighting scenarios for each flight. The cabin crew can start the entire lighting program easily with one click through a user-friendly interface on the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP). The program runs automatically throughout the rest of the flight, thereby drastically reducing the required work for flight attendants. The jetlite controller is easily retrofittable as part of a routine A-check and ensures a standardization of the cabin lighting quality across fleets and flight routes.

2) lite2fix Multi ATA Cabin Concept – SFS Stand (Hall B6, 6B20)

lite2fix ( is a revolutionary interface-reduced fastening concept, developed by SFS Aircraft Components and jetlite at Hamburg’s ZAL. It includes a customizable lighting system, enhancing the cabin face to the passenger. Due to latest LED technology, lite2fix not only allows for the integration of jetlite’s Human Centric Lighting, but also for further innovative forms of using light in the cabin – for example as part of the airline branding, or to display information in the aisle during (de)boarding.

3) jetlite Business Class Solution

Further activities of jetlite also include developing a more personalized Human Centric Lighting solution for business class. Details on this concept will be announced - together with a further industry partner - during the Hamburg show.

4) Partnership with the Crystal Cabin Award

jetlite is proud to be an official partner of the Crystal Cabin Award 2019, the world’s most highly recognized award for innovation in aircraft interiors. As part of the partnership, Toni Garrn, jetlite co-founder, as well as internationally renowned model and actress, will join the keynote panel at the Crystal Cabin Award ceremony on 2nd of April, speaking about the growing importance of well-being for advancing passenger experience, which has also resulted in her engagement at jetlite.
