Ready, steady, slam!

It was time to Slam: At Science Slam 2022, six slammers each with a different scientific background presented their ideas in front of an audience of their peers. But it wouldn't be a Science Slam if the evening wasn't packed with punchlines. Among the topics of the evening were the mobility revolution, hydrogen aircraft, chaos theory and the circular economy, green IT as well as space and greenhouses. To prepare the slammers, each received two four-hour professional coaching sessions to hone their presentation skills.

In front of a full house, Dennis Kiep of ZAL - Center for Applied Aeronautics Research took the title with his presentation, "Liquid hydrogen - a pretty cool thing". Congratulations, Dennis! The event was rounded off with a great atmosphere and networking afterwards with music, drinks and finger food. Science Slam 2022 was hosted by ZAL Center for Applied Aviation Research and Hamburg Aviation e.V.

We are already looking forward to next year's Science Slam 2023.
