proTechnicale honoured for promoting equal opportunities in STEM fields

On 15 November 2022, the Deloitte Foundation awarded five educational organisations in Munich. proTechnicale, the MINT orientation and qualification project for young women of SOPHIA.T gGmbH from Hamburg, was honoured in the Growth category. Under the motto "Because everyone wins when education wins", the foundation has been promoting promising commitment in the education sector for 13 years with the Hidden Movers Award. SOPHIA.T Managing Director Friederike Fechner accepted the award together with her team. "This award is brilliant! We are thrilled about the award and the attention it brings. Especially because with proTechnicale we ourselves strengthen and make visible many hidden movers, namely women in the MINT sector," says Friederike Fechner. The award comes with prize money of 25,000 euros, pro bono consulting services and coaching by the Social Entrepreneurship Academy.

proTechnicale offers two programmes for STEM orientation and qualification for young women. In addition to imparting technical knowledge and gaining practical experience, both place a third focus on strengthening and developing the personality. proTechnicale Classic is a gap year in Hamburg for female high school graduates from Germany and abroad. proTechnicale School is a five-month digital programme for female high school students. proTechnicale launches the new application round on 1 December.
