Two changes in company leadership announced

July 2022 begins with two changes in the executive board at Lufthansa technik. A founding member of Hamburg Aviation, Lufthansa Technik has announced two changes to its executive team.

Sören Stark has assumed the role of Chairman of the Executive Board, effective 30 June. He takes over from departing chairperson Dr Johannes Bussmann, who leaves Lufthansa Group after a successful career spanning 23 years. Taking over Sören Stark’s former post as Chief Operations Officer is Harald Gloy. In his new position, Harald Gloy takes on the responsibilities of "Accountable Manager" with respect to EASA Part 145, as well as the contact person for aviation authorities with regard to Lufthansa Technik AG's MRO operations.

Sören Stark joined Lufthansa Technik's Executive Board in 2019, responsible for operations at Lufthansa Cargo AG. A trained industrial engineer, he was previously in charge of Lufthansa Technik's aircraft overhaul division.

Incoming COO Harald Gloy has also spent many years on the board of directors at Hamburg Aviation e.V., as well as the supervisory board of Hamburg’s Center for Applied Aeronautical Engineering (ZAL). He also takes on the role of Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Labor Director, previously part of the portfolio of Johannes Bussmann.
