Hamburg Aviation has again been awarded the highest distinction "Gold Label for Cluster Management Excellence". Experts of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative evaluated 31 quality indicators for excellent cluster management in an intensive audit process. The "Cluster Management Excellence" initiative is an internationally recognised certification for the quality of work of European industrial clusters. The new Gold Certificate for Hamburg Aviation is valid until November 2024.
Hamburg Aviation Managing Director Ralf Gust: "We are very pleased about the renewed certification "Gold Label Cluster Excellence". In particular, the final report highlighted that the cluster responded very well to the enormous challenges during the pandemic and was able to continue its work successfully despite the many adversities. This is a great confirmation for the team's efforts. I also see the award as a mandate to constantly improve so that we can keep this award in the future."
The European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI), initiated by the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry, aims to develop methods and tools to help committed organisations improve their skills in managing networks and clusters. A network of around 200 specially trained cluster experts from more than 30 countries supports these activities.
