Just in time for the Easter holidays in northern Germany, Eurowings adds a new destination to its network. The Spanish city of Bilbao will now be directly connected to Hamburg for the first time, with regular direct flights starting 5 April. Two weekly flights are scheduled, on Monday and Friday. The new connection adds an enticing new option for city breaks over a long weekend. Sightseeing tours, relaxing Atlantic beaches beaches and thriving nightlife offer a wealth of experiences. Tickets are available from €99.99.

With its sights and surrounding beaches, the port city of Bilbao is equally appealing to seaside vacationers and city travelers. The mix of action and relaxation promises a varied vacation with guaranteed sunshine," says Dirk Behrens, Head of Aviation at Hamburg Airport.
"Germany's northern region can look forward to Bilbao as an attractive new destination in the Eurowings route network," comments Uwe Breuer, Eurowings Base Manager. As Germany's leading vacation carrier, our customers can choose from more than 60 attractive European destinations from Hamburg."
Bilbao: sun, beach and lots of culture
With its rich and diverse culture, Bilbao is famous for its modern architecture that contrasts pleasingly with the picturesque old town. Among the cutlural highlights on offer is the famous Guggenheim Museum, housing one of the most important collections of modern and contemporary art in the world. The bustling city center features countless bars serving delicious pintxos - the Basque version of tapas - with your drink. If you want to relax by the sea, you can enjoy the surrounding sandy beaches on Spain's Atlantic coast for (sun)bathing.
