From 11-12 September the annual General Assembly of the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP), an initiative of European aviation clusters, took place in Delft. The Dutch cluster Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG) and the Innovation Quarter from West Holland hosted the event this year.

37 cluster managers came together from 14 different countries and presented and discussed the current processes and projects of the network on two days. The EACP describes itself a network that lives from joint projects and cooperation. Or as the cluster manager Yalcin Yilmazkaya of the Turkish Aerospace Cluster Association (ACA) describes: "We are one big family".

During the past year, EACP has been able to network through joint EU projects, such as EACP ABROAD, and strengthen B2B events with member companies. This is made possible by the involvement of many EACP members, in particular those working in the EACP working groups (Strategy, Internationalisation, Supply Chain, Technology, Skills).

The EACP is proud that the good work and the good results have attracted another European cluster and that since June 2018 the Shannon IASC cluster has joined the network as the 43rd member of the EACP.

Hamburg Aviation coordinates the EACP network, participates in the EU-project EuroSME beginning on 1 October 2018 and is represented in all Working Groups, but focused on the topics of Internationalisation and Supply Chain.

Other discussed topics were next to the upcoming Brexit also nicer topics as the 10years anniversary of EACP in 2019, which will be celebrated in different activities and events.
