Lufthansa Technik AG has contracted with China Aviation Supplies Co. Ltd. (CASC) to jointly provide comprehensive component support for Air China's Airbus A350 fleet.

The joint 10-year Total Component Support (TCS) contract by Lufthansa Technik and CASC will cover repair and overhaul of A350 components. Air China, based at Beijing Capital International Airport, is the first operator of this aircraft type in mainland China.

"With Lufthansa Technik, we have established a proven collaboration over the 15 years. As their strategic partner in mainland China, we are more than happy to be able to extend our cooperation to Air China's brand-new A350 fleet," said Tan Kejian, General Manager of CASC.

Air China:

Air China Limited, together with its subsidiaries, provides air passenger, air cargo, and airline-related services in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Europe, North America, Japan, Korea, the Asia Pacific, and internationally. As of December 31, 2017, it operated a fleet of 655 aircraft. The company was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Beijing, the People's Republic of China. Air China Limited is a subsidiary of China National Aviation Holding Company.

CASC:

China Aviation Supplies Company (CASC) was founded with the approval of the State Import and Export Regulatory Commission in October of 1980, and was the first company established in Chinese civil aviation industry. In March of 1996, CASC's full name was changed to China Aviation Supplies Imp. & Exp. Corporation. In October of 2002, the transportation companies and supporting companies in the civil aviation industry underwent a merging and restructuring. As a result, three air transportation group companies and three aviation supporting companies were founded. China Aviation Supplies Imp. & Exp. Group Company (CASGC), as one of the three aviation supporting group companies, was officially established with the approval of the State Council.
