At the 14th of April, AERQ announced that the joint venture between LG Electronics and Lufthansa Technik had a change in the management effective 11 April 2022. Son Yob (Louis) Pak from LG Electronics (LG) succeeds Sang Soo Lee who will take on another role within LG. Together with Arnd Kikker from Lufthansa Technik, Louis Pak will lead AERQ in the development of solutions that enable airlines to digitalise their aircraft cabin. Louis Pak has been employed at LG for 12 years and held the responsibility for the Vertical Global Sales Department lead.

“I am very excited to be named Co-Managing Director at AERQ”, said Louis Pak. “The joint venture was created by the insight and innovative thinking about the digital cabin experience of its founders. I look forward to shaping the future with the achievements so far and especially the people working here who dedicate themselves to an optimised passenger experience onboard an airline’s fleet.”

He was part from the very beginning in 2016 when the idea of creating the joint venture AERQ surfaced,” explained Arnd Kikker. “Together we achieved great milestones with the launch of AERQ in the aviation market and the introduction of AERENA, our new platform for engagement, empowerment, and intelligence.”

“It fills me with pride to be part of AERQ’s success story,” confirmed Sang Soo Lee. “Now it is time for me to take on another role within LG. “I am convinced that Louis Pak and Arnd Kikker and the whole AERQ team will shape a successful future.” The change in the management has been implemented through a planned transition to push forward AERQ’s goals in 2022, such as incorporating digital behaviour and trends into the aircraft and providing passengers with an exceptional digital inflight entertainment experience.
