From June 14 to 16, the Aircraft Interiors Expo took place in Hamburg. Hamburg Aviation was back at the show in cooperation with Hanse Aerospace at the new Hamburg Lounge. Hamburg Aviation members flocked to the booth on all three days, with visitors enjoying interesting conversations and refreshments in the Hamburg Lounge. The winners of the Crystal Cabin Awards organized by Hamburg Aviation were also presented in a gallery at the booth from Wednesday 15 June.
The network Qblue, initiated by HCAT+ e.V., Hanse-Aerospace e.V. and Hamburg Aviation, also presented its acitivities at the AIX. With its own booth, the Qblue team drew attention to the topic of qualification in aviation, and was able to expand its network and offer support to SMEs in planning and executing strategic workforce training programmes.
Alongside the hive of activity at the Hamburg Lounge, the AIX also offers the ideal stage for other Hamburg Aviation events. On Tuesday June 14, after three years, the Crystal Cabin Awards were finally presented again during a gala dinner. The highly anticipated awards ceremony was a celebraton of the passenger experience community, offering a lively atmosphere for the winners, jury and hundreds of other guests from the aviation industry. Hamburg Aviation congratulates the winners Teague/NORDAM, Caeli Nova, Safran Cabin, Collins Aerospace, Anuvu/Southwest Airlines, Thales Avionics, Diab and Ken Kirtland. On Wednesday, the winners of the awards presented their winning concepts at a presentation in the CabinSpace LIVE Auditorium at AIX. The winners' trophies were also on prominent display across AIX at the respective stands.
Hamburg Aviation also had the pleasure of accompanying Hamburg's Senator for Economic Affairs and Innovation Michael Westhagemann on his tour of the trade fair. He visited companies and hidden champions from the Hamburg metropolitan region and discussed the latest products and technologies with staff.
Wednesday evening saw the official Senate Reception, hosted in 2022 by Lufthansa Technik at its glbal headquarters in Hamburg. Hundreds of guests from the global aviation community enjoyed this special atmosphere and were welcomed by Sören Stark, CEO Lufthansa Technik and State Secretary Andreas Rieckhof. The evening was moderated by Anna Maaßen from the Department of Economics and Innovation of the City of Hamburg.
The AIX ended on Thursday, with the last day of the show marked by hustle and bustle at the Hamburg Lounge. Hamburg Aviation was very pleased to finally meet and network with its members once again.
