Following the takeover of Stegmann Aircraft Maintenance GmbH by AviationPower Group in July 2016 the companies take their next step towards an integration into a brand for wide-ranging B2B services in the aviation sector.

With effect from 1 January 2018 Klaus Jürgen Lang and René Mamet have taken over their new positions as Managing Directors. Rolf Braams left the company at the turn of the year. Both Mr. Lang, as former Managing Director at Argo Aviation, and Mr. Mamet, as former deputy Managing Director of Condor Technik, contribute longstanding experience in aeronautical engineering. We wish both of them the best of success with their new roles.

The company name SAM GmbH will be changed to "AviationPower TechnicalServices GmbH". This step allows us to establish a consistent brand identity as well as a common umbrella brand. The feeling of solidarity among the employees of both companies as well as their personal identification with AviationPower as an employer brand are enhanced by a common corporate name.

By integrating AviationPower TechnicalServices the group adds to their portfolio the independent performance of holistic services in aeronautical engineering. Production and maintenance work on aircrafts require permission by the European authorities. Especially the supply of services this permission exists for will in future be extended by the company. AviationPower TechnicalServices is certified according to EASA Part-145 und 21G and is therefore authorized to independently provide the respective services to its clients.
