On August 6, the US airline received its new aircraft at its headquarters in Atlanta.

From Toulouse, the Airbus A350-900 crossed the Atlantic. Despite the darkness at 2 o'clock local time, the wide-body aircraft was greeted by water cannons. The aircraft, which had been ordered in November 2014, will be prepared for its operation for one and a half months. On the 30th of October, it will complete her first scheduled flight from Detroit to Tokyo-Narita International.

Delta's cabin features 32 suites of the "Delta One" business class (arrangement 1-2-1), 48 seats of the "Premium Select" class and 226 seats of the Economy Class. The "Delta One" suite was awarded with the Crystal Cabin Award for "Cabin Concepts" in Hamburg, back in April 2017.

Airbus has so far received 847 fixed orders from 45 customers for the new twin-turbo engine.
