20.12.2017News about Hamburg Aviation

Together with two cluster representatives from Hamburg Aviation and the Belgian cluster Skywin, a German delegation traveled to São José dos Campos from 4 to 7 December for the Aerospace Business Summit Brazil.

In a comprehensive program, the German representatives had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the members of the Brazilian aviation cluster in order to identify potential business cases in subsequent B2B events. The framework program consisted i.a. from visits to Sonaca, Alltec, Globo Usinagem, Akaer and Liebherr Brasil. The delegation was able to gain a good overview of the current situation of the suppliers through the on-site visits. Liebherr Aerospace has been operating locally since 2005 with more than 300 employees and exports 90% of its production.

In total, around 65 companies participated in the program over the course of the week. The state of São Paulo is one of the international destinations selected by the members of Hamburg Aviation. Together with the partner cluster in Brazil, the Hamburg Aviation Office will again offer joint formats in 2018. The first opportunity presents itself during the Brazilian business trip in the context of the ILA Berlin, which starts on April 23 in Hamburg. General information on the Brazilian aviation industry, as well as the presentations of the companies mentioned in the near future, can be found on HAV Connect.
